A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Growing up, I spent the bulk of my time with animals - fostering kittens, adopting rats, volunteering with a group who rode horses for therapy, pretending my childhood dog was a show jumping horse, etc. Even after moving out on my own, I continued to own cats, volunteer with the elderly for pet therapy and bring home the occasional goldfish.

After my son was born, I obtained my business administration degree and taught him to love and respect animals as much as I did. We have rescued a husky who was trained to become a service dog, learned that our pet ducks prefer Ritz crackers and moved across the country as a military family.

After moving to Whidbey Island, I was hired on as Veterinary Administration for two separate clinics, where I was lucky enough to experience the joys of all things pet related. I found a special kinship with many of my clients and was thrilled to be able to help families through both the happiest moments as well as the hardest moments.

Based out of Coupeville, we currently have 3 dogs, 3 cats and some fish. Two of our dogs are Lapponian Herders which are high intelligence, stubborn herding dogs.  Our newest "puppy" is a rescue from NOAH who turned out to be a husky/Australian Shepherd mix, who always keeps us busy!

One of our cats was captured off of Heller rd, covered in puncture wounds and nursed back to his sassy self. Another was adopted as a kitten found in the back of a garage. Lastly, our 20 year old calico, Punkin (for whom the company was named) has been travelling with us since 2006 and currently runs our entire household.

In 2025, we decided to expand and brought on a few new team members who have made my job even more delightful! In doing so, we're able to cover more needs and expand our services, in ways I never even thought possible! And as an added bonus, I get to get coffee with some of my favorite people on a regular basis ;)

Our team currently works with the Rover Come Over Pet Care as well as the Whidbey Equestrian Center in Coupeville.

Previous clients have included chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, horses, cats, dogs, hamsters and a tortoise. :)

Why we do what we do

Oona.jpg

Meet Oona...

After adopting our dog, Oona, our family realized that her situational anxiety made it almost impossible to feel comfortable leaving her in a kennel or doggy daycare. While leading a very sheltered life at a previous owners' house, even walking to the end of our driveway was terrifying for her, much less relocating to an entire new place without any familiar faces. And this is where our in home pet sitting services began.

Speaking to other local pet owners, we found we were in the same boat with many other families whose pets had medical issues, anxiety, fear of the unknown, past behavior issues, age discrepancies and a multitude of other complications. And so we began offering select services to some of the best clients on Whidbey Island!

Naturalist and pet care expert

Tiffany Jo Waldner

I lived in Minnesota the first twelve years of my life and then Wyoming for eleven. My love for wildlife began at a very young age. From the time I could crawl I almost always had a pair of binoculars and was out looking for insects, birds, moose, and any other wildlife. I always filled my families ears with animal facts.

I was assistant manager at an animal shelter for 6 years where I gained experience in medical care of dogs and cats. I moved to Washington in 2019 with a goal to make my long time dream of working with whales and wildlife come true. My lifelong dream came true. I now work as a marine naturalist and marine mammal stranding respond

Beach walker and snuggle expert

Abbie Pare Rutter

I’ve had animals my whole life and I love spending my time with them. My first rescue came while I was in college. She was my dog, a little pitbull I named Nico, who was running loose outside USC’s campus in South Central L.A. My dog, Jack, is a boxer mix rescue from Fresno. My cat, Loki, came to me as a two week old kitten, my first foster, found under a porch and barely alive. He’s thriving. I love being present with animals and making sure they’re comfortable and having fun. I also adore horses, and I’m lucky enough that Emily, who founded Punkin’ Pie, lets me hang out with her horse, Triscuit, from time to time. I’m comfortable with farm care at your house as well

Skills offered: Drop in care, farm care, dog walking and overnights

Jan M - Coupeville, WA

Emily is a kind and caring pet sitter. While staying with my 3 dogs, she sent daily texts and photos sharing their activities together. The greatest testimony to her abilities was made by ‘Aina. She is extremely wary of strangers and typically won’t let pet sitters approach. One morning Emily woke to find ‘Aina sleeping on the bed with her. This was a first in ‘Aina’s in the 8 years of her life. Emily is that good!
